I found a small case of ski waxes at the trail shelter at the junction of Spray River East/West in Banff National Park on Friday, March 15. (see image)

The waxes and case are now at the Banff Visitor Centre, located at 224 Banff Ave. You can drop in, call or email the Banff Visitor Centre for more information if these are yours.

On another note - there was still pretty good snow coverage on the trail. By skiing between 11 and 2 when the snow had softened up enough to no longer be luge-like, I had a great ski with my new skin skis.

I think it would be hard conditions for waxing, but maybe the skier who assortment of waxes left at the shelter, had found just the right one!

The March sun is creating some puddles on the snow, and releasing some rocks from the banks along the trailside. Some of these role on to the trail so watch for these sharks as you ski.
