Discussion:

After noticing the Ribbon Creek Snowcat working its way up the Skogan area trails at about midnight last night, I knew where we would be skiing today. We started around the Hay Meadow Trail to the Eagle Migration observation area, then continued up Ruthies and Skogan Pass Trail. We opted to go around the Skogan Loop, then returned via High Level for a view of the Kananaskis Valley from Hummingbird Plume lookout. Then, a quick rip down Sunburst, Skogan Pass and Ruthies and along Troll Falls trail to complete the loop.
The overnight grooming was perfect. The early evening grooming like Hay Meadow had 2-3cm of fluffy powder on top. The last of the overnight grooming was crisp and perfectly set up. The snow generally stayed cold enough for great grip and glide, with just a bit of softening on the sunniest corners on the way down.

That's probably the last grooming of the season on the Skogan side of the network, but it was as good as it gets!
