I started out at noon, to allow the temperature to warm up. It was -17 degrees at the trailhead. I skied West Crystal, Loggers, Elbow and Iron Springs trails. Many people were seen - moving along quickly, just to keep warm.

The trails were in great shape: smooth and fast in some sections and slower in others. I agree with what ulrikeski said in her Jan 28th Ribbon Creek report: this variability is due to the amount of older ice vs new snow in the track. Swix V20 green kick wax worked well for me.

Many thanks to the groomers who packed & tracked the trails so quickly!

A perfect Sunday.
