Discussion:

The weather was cool today so I decided to head out to Bragg Creek again. I skied east Crystal/Iron Springs - Elbow (both loops plus "Dead End") / Loggers / Moose (south leg) / both Mountain Views and finished up on Sundog CCW. Conditions were quite good throughout (all recently groomed). I even encountered MaSid (of couch building fame) and had a nice visit.

There were a few places with marginal conditions.

Iron Springs: The ice flow just south of the "Dead End" junction is still growing and is now just barely passable on the southeast side. The steep hill on south Iron Springs has thin/icy coverage with a few dirt spots that grooming cannot help. I skied up that way. There was lots of evidence of crashing and burning on attempts to go down that hill.

Moose Connector and Loop: There was a lot of skier traffic on it today (and even a couple of trail runners chewing up the grooming). The hills coming down to the meadows had thin coverage and were a bit icy. Up higher there was good coverage.

East Mountain View: (same as my report from yesterday). East bound, no worries. West bound, thin / icy sections west of the high point.

Trails that see some grooming this evening / overnight should still be great tomorrow.
