Discussion:

Maybe the rest of the forecasted snow will arrive today, but not likely 25 cm more. Regardless, still a dramatic improvement, but more would be better.

Almost 7” (17 cm) in Silver Springs over the last 36 hours. Looks like a good day for local skiing. Heard that Confed is extending the season.

West Bragg Creek seemed to be right at the edge of this snow event. Only 9-10cm has fallen since Wednesday… much less than forecast. The ski groomers were waiting for more snow to accumulate, but it never came, so they have started roller packing what’s there now. It’s light snow, so it doesn’t pack down to much of a layer. And it’s not bonding very well to the south facing hills that got glazed-icy over the previous 12 days of melt-freeze conditions. Hopefully more snow arrives in the coming days.
