Discussion:

I skied the Pipestone trails (entire network) today. It has not been groomed in a few days now but most of it is still in good shape. The only downhills of concern are the two steep pitches on the upper Pipestone trail (west side) and several short steep parts on the east side. The east side is still pretty good (but fast). The west side of the upper trail is somewhat dished (particularly the upper pitch). There are also a few caters to avoid near the bottom of the 2 steep pitches. Skiers wishing to avoid the tough hills can descend on Merlin/Drummond to the big meadow and then Pipestone or Hector down to the parking lot. Another grooming pass should fix things.

Tramway had been groomed yesterday. It was good.

Total distance: 35.20 Km
