Tried Shadow Lake hoping that the snow this week has helped the trail. Fresh grooming has helped and the the 5cm of snow has helped to cover the icy spots. Could use some more snow though. The parking lot only had a few cars in it at 10:30. I was on light touring skis and VX43 worked all day. Temp was -6C. It was nice to have sunny skies. The trail is a little bit crusty and is snowmobile packed and set with a single track. Some dirt and twigs here and there but the trail is pretty good shape. Great day out. I was happy to have edged skis
