Bonus Day Castle Lookout to Baker Creek and back!

We were heading to Pipestone for an afternoon ski today, but thought "what the heck - let's check Castle Lookout to Baker Creek first!" And much to our pleasure, it was freshy track set and we were the first skiers to enjoy the beautiful afternoon. The first bit from the Castle Lookout parking lot to where the trail goes down the hill and connects to the Bow Valley Parkway is NOT groomed, but once across the road, it is nicely groomed all the way to Baker Creek parking lot, about 9.5 km, one way. The snow was beautiful and the sun was bright - BONUS!
We went to the Baker Creek Chalets to get something to drink 1/2 way through our trip, and to thank them for grooming. We were told that they will try to groom every Friday - great news!

 Great snow, bluebird skies and wonderful views!
 Had the Castle Lookout to Baker Creek (and back) all to ourselves this afternoon - first tracks! Thanks to Baker Creek Chalets for grooming it this a.m.
