Discussion:
Lots of wolves enjoying the new trail grooming on that first hill.
Then the conditions really improved with the higher elevation and freshly falling snow.
I used VR45 kick wax again, though I did encounter some icing later in the day on the return.
Nice to chat with Clare (still sporting some Green for Ireland) and her friend Celine.
And of course I was impressed to see a happy young lady celebrating her 25th Birthday with a 25 Km ski!
Otherwise, a very quiet day out there.
Enjoy these longer days!
Mike is still doing his adventurous trips
Trackset all the way to Stoney only yesterday
Yes, how often do you actually see a Snowshoe Hare
Ross was easily persuaded to explore beyond Stoney Creek
A few creek crossings were the only challenges
The recently developed rain crust provided supportive snow for the final approach
The Elk Trap... so much history
Returning via Stoney Creek Warden Station
I should have brought a bigger water bottle for 40 Km!
