Nipika - late day skate skiing

Discussion:

The past 3 days at Nipika has seen daytime highs approaching double digits.
BUT - the base is still OK with skate skiers reporting some fun late in the afternoon.
The classic tracks have suffered from the warmth and await new snow.
HOWEVER - light grooming of the skate lanes occurs daily when night time temperature will drop below 0 C at night.
We had some great hikes along the beautiful Kootenay River, to the Cross River waterfall, and to the Natural Bridge.
A good time was had by all.
