Discussion:

We were the first to arrive in the parking lot around 10:30 with the temperature at minus 7. Lake louise had about 1 cm of fresh snow. We started off with good grip and glide on Hector heading for the far end. After many years of seeing lynx tracks on this trail we finally caught a good glimpse of 2 lynx on the trail. I have only seen one other lynx in the past so very exciting for me. They quickly disappeared into the trees. As the temp warmed up to near 0 we started to have slight sticking issues. We met Parks trail crew who were out grooming and track setting. We stopped at the far end by the Pipestone river and turned around headed back on Hector taking the connector at the lake to #20 and enjoyed a nice easy down hill back. Sticking issues by then had disappeared. Used blue wax with good results.
