Discussion:
Due to less than normal snow amounts and warm temps, certain spots seem to be quite busy so far this season. Micro-spike sales may be up though. Trails are a combination of packed snow, dirt and ice. Climbers were active and sporting t-shirts.
Might have been some tickets handed out yesterday for those neglecting to use the parking lot (which was not full on return).
An obscure ski slope in the background from the high point of the day. Probably tough to get to.

Speaking from experience I can indeed confirm that the approach to the pictured ski run is arduous and perilous.
In addition to all dangers associated with venturing off trail the route passes through prime badger habitat and believe me these badgers are of the particularly nasty variety.
In the interest of public safety I urge the moderators to discourage any further mention of this slope!
Everything about this route is tormented as will be all who venture there.

Yep, that's what they do alright...hide behind a flood-ravaged tree and when an unsuspecting skier comes along...they POUNCE!!!!

Photo credit for the pouncing badger goes to HenryL. As a highly respected local badger expert he would certainly not risk his professional reputation by publishing deep fakery.

To spot a fake badger photo look for subtle clues such as an uncharacteristically adorable pose.
