Scenic Mt. Shark

Discussion:

Nordic Pulse showed that all trails at Mt. Shark were groomed last night. No classic tracks, as the snowpack is thin, but fantastic for skate skiing. We started out from the stadium after 11am at -7C with sunny skies and pristine grooming. Soft corduroy snow on the steep downhills made them fun and enjoyable. Some sections had twigs, a couple of dips or crusty bits from the machine, but no rocks at all. We were the first skiers on the new grooming around the 15km loop (Hercules, Pegasus, Virgo etc.) The groomer did an amazing job considering the low snow coverage. A great day up at Shark.
