It being a Sunday, it may be time to spread the word, to the rest of the world!
Our dedicated Parks Canada trail grooming team trackset these trails on Friday, and they are still in wonderful shape. I met 23 locals and 1 Calgarian today… and all were loving the conditions.
While temperatures had got slightly above zero yesterday, there were still no icy bits today on this nicely shaded trail. With temperatures today hovering around minus 5, my Rode Blue was still the wax of choice.
If your time is limited, get the best on Spray West!
Peter loves the conditions on Spray West
Spray West is for skiers only beyond the 700 metre turnoff
Hikers used Spray East
Runners and Fat Bikers had come down from Canmore beyond the East West Shelter
Nobody has gone south towards the Spray Reservoir at the 10 km junction... Yet
Good views of Mt. Rundle from the 10 km Spray River bridge
Goat Creek
Glad I had highlighted a couple of rocks to ensure a safe return near the Goat Creek bridge.

Hi Chuck, thanks for sharing the "secret". Did the tracksetter go all the way to Goat Creek trailhead, i.e. Banff Park boundary?

Yes Ulrike,
Single trackset classic to the park boundary, but note, only rated as Fair.
