Discussion:

Today we took on the much celebrated SkierBob Special. I expect there are variations thereof: we parked at the Boulton Creek parking lot, took Whiskey Jack then Tyrwhitt, down Hydroline to Fox Creek and back to the car via Moraine.

I was thinking it's been a while seen I've seen Bob and wouldn't it be nice to see him out again before the New Year. We only saw a few other people on this cloudy, snowy day.

Whiskey Jack was in good shape. As noted in Nordic Pulse, the top 2/3's is trackset with only grooming on the bottom part. Through the snow we could see past evidence of fallen pine needles but the recent grooming cleaned that up nicely. We met one fellow coming down the steep section. I informed him of one more person behind me - no problems at all.

Tyrwhitt is trackset to the north Lookout Junction. Beyond that it's only groomed & skier trackset. In more than a few places, we encountered some vegetation coming through the grooming. Some more snow will help with that and allow tracksetting to occur.

Hydroline is in great condition. Nice sharp tracksetting.

Fox Creek and Moraine are skier trackset only. Currently the tracks are all over the place like spaghetti, but a few more skiers after today's snowfall will tighten them up.

Lower Whiskey Jack.
The camera flash lit up the falling snow nicely.

Lower Whiskey Jack again

Great tracks on the upper portion of Whiskey Jack

Looking down Pocaterra. Very Nice!

Vegetation peeking through the Tyrwhitt grooming

Predator on Tyrwhitt

Can't mistake this one:
Hydroline
