Time to break some big powder heading up Skogan to the Sunburst intersection.

Wanted to do a recon of my usual approach to Skogan Pass today from Nakiska Ski Hill parking lot and delighted to find it same as always except for the fencing deterring skiers from crossing into the woods for access to the Screamer. Thank you Diana for both photos of the fencing and the beautiful, but injured Lynx. We saw some paw prints but no sign of wildlife today. We just went to the Sunburst junction and sure enjoyed our skier tracks on way down. -16 and did not budge.
Then we drove over to Terrace Drive to ski a loop of Terrace/Aspen/Kovach. We were thrilled to see Keith B. who had done this route and broken trail!!!! I should have at least offered him a brandy bean or two!!! We stuck to his tracks as we did not want to break trail up to Kovach. We drove into Ribbon Creek parking lot and it has not been plowed at all. Thanks Ulrike and Chuck for confirming re. Goat Creek grooming perfection and parking lot. Lee, whose photo you posted Chuck, just completed the 55 kms Birkie.
