Discussion:

First stop at Castle Lookout for Castle/Baker - no recent grooming so onward to O’Hara Road and the GD. Wow blowing a gale at the parking lot and the air was full of blowing snow. Back to Lake Louise and the Chateau Parking. From upper lot we skied Fairview and MLR up and down. Split up at Paradise Valley junction some to return via Upper Tramline. I returned on Fairview.
Minus 2C to start and 0C finish at 4:30pm
All using waxless skis 1-skin skis / 4 on scales
Fairview trail has good snow but no recent grooming, so tracks are almost gone.
MLR old tracks very good and the snow gave good glide with no icing. Down MLR was predictably slow on the waxless skis.
Chateau groomed trails lacking grooming due to mechanical problems with their snow sled. Trails groomed by Parks a better choice for best tracks

Returning on Fairview
