Discussion:

I skied all of the major parts of the system except Telephone /Hostel. Conditions were way better than I had expected given reports from about a week ago and the fact that there has been no appreciable snow in about 3 weeks now. Moose Loop and Connector had been groomed last night so it was in the best shape. Even trails that were groomed 1 to 3 days ago are holding up well. The only place that was truly marginal was the southern Iron Springs / Elbow loop which is I believe is not part of Bragg Creek Trails grooming. Otherwise, conditions were decent all around. All of the steep hills were reasonable to ski down. Conditions were fast but not icy. There are a few thin areas but not enough to cause any real problems. Walkers have been pretty much everywhere but the only place that it was really noticeable was on East Sundog between the Iron Springs and the East Crystal Line junctions. Off the trails there is nearly no snow on south aspects. It is amazing what the grooming team has done.
