Great to hear, Chuck. We were at Chester Lake last Sunday. Supportive base but very heavy snow on top due to the wet, warm weather and no overnight freeze.
Sounds like the weather is giving us another chance for skiing. And crust skiing (with skate skis) should be coming up soon, as long as we get some sunny days and freeze overnight.

So spectacular! My heart aches with longing.....
We used to do that on skinny wooden skis, but we were a heck of a lot younger then!

The snow everywhere was totally light. If only I had my Tua skis I would have enjoyed great turns (but it would have taken longer to get there).
The tour is so enjoyable now that the freeze thaw cycle has been around for a while… totally supportive with fresh snow on top.
You would love it!

Awesome day, fantastic views! Very impressive to manage the climb on your LT skis and wax!
How was the snow on the slopes? Heavy or still light?

Discussion:
With an inch of fresh snow last night and the forecasted sunny skies, I could not believe that I was the only one out there!
I brought my climbing skins but I didn't need them. My VR45 kick wax and a little side stepping is all I needed.
Another spring tour to enjoy.
