Just me and the fresh tracks
Discussion:
I followed the fresh grooming to Bolton parking lot at PLPP, and my car said 1° at about 9:45 AM when I started out. The tracks were perfection all the way up Whiskey Jack and across Tyrwhitt, and it was a special treat to have the sun come out just as I got to the Tyrwhitt meadows. It was such a great route that I decided to go back the way that I came. The snow did not feel overly icy (it must not have cooled down below zero overnight) and it only slowed in very short sections with direct sunlight. The grooming made the WJ descents easy and fun. My fish scales worked perfectly all morning. I was back at the car just after noon, and around 5°. A HUGE thank you to the groomers who extended our ski season well into April, and who do their great work overnight so it is easy to know where to go first thing in the morning!
Total distance: 18.00 Km
Looking towards the not so fresh grooming (but it still looked great)
