Woke up at 0600 and checked Nordic Pulse - nothing groomed at PLPP. Went back to bed. Tried again at 0700 and saw last night's grooming was posted. Yay! Off I went to the Boulton Creek trailhead. Started skiing shortly before 0900, temp was -6 under clear skies. New tracksetting was awesome! Probably the best conditions I've had at PLPP all season. It looked like I was the third person on Whiskey, and first on Tyrwhitt, Hydroline, and a good chunk of Lookout South, where I ran into Jean Francois on his way down from the lookout.
Overall, conditions were excellent - good grip and decent glide on my skin skis. And then the sun REALLY started hitting the snow. Transitioning from shadow (great glide and good grip) to sun (molasses) sure was interesting when going down hills!
Only saw 10 people all day.
