Yes. Conditions on the north side allowed very good control on the descent.

Still quite “edgeable” on the north descent?

Today's trip took me from the Elk Pass parking lot, up Hydroline, to the Fire Lookout (up south, down north), Tyrwhitt, Patterson, then return via Elk Pass.
Nice snow conditions in the morning with the -1 degree temperature. Purple wax worked well but it was more challenging in the afternoon when the sun came peaking through. Some clumping experienced on upper Hydroline upon the return. Elk Pass / Tyrwhitt showed a few icy sections.
Overall a really nice day.
Lovely to chat with the Second Sixties Outdoor Club as they were just heading out in the AM. What a fun group!
A great pleasure meeting a fellow Calgarian, Rory (of Deb & Rory fame) as we headed up the Lookout. Congrats to Deb for achieving 300 Km this season!
Clear signage on Hydroline showing the snowshoer route paralleling the ski trail
Both approaches to Lookout (south and north) are in excellent shape.
Lookout coming up
Very pleasant up top today. No wind, mild temperature.
Still looks like winter!
Tyrwhitt is always pleasant
