We started around 10 am at -10. The snow conditions were exellent. Skied lower telemark, then up Peyto to the Deerlodge and back to the Parking lot. There was a lot of fluffy snow on Peyto.

Discussion:

We checked out GD hoping for winter(ish) conditions and were not disappointed. We arrived at 1:15 so we missed Helen and her early birds! It was plus 2 when we started out and the tracks were in good to very good shape. There had obviously been 2-3 cm of snow over the grooming from the other day and overall the conditions were pleasant. The outbound tracks were a bit messier than the inbound, probably because they get more sun. It was never icy, and the sun-exposed tracks only warmed up a bit in the afternoon sun. It was plus 4 when we finished, and I expect conditions tomorrow to be reasonably good.
Claire declared her season over!!
