Oui Carole, c'est vraiment un bel endroit. Avec les jours qui se réchauffent, les "snow bombs" vont être nombreuses. Il faut juste être attentif quand on ski...

C'est beau!

Glad you made it, Jean-Francois! I suspect that some of yesterday's snow bombs hardened overnight, causing some difficulties.

Discussion:

For the 3rd time this winter I went up to Skogan pass as I really do like this trail.
I parked at Ribbon Creek and skied Hidden (the crux of the day was avoid the many fences to reach Nakiska) and went directly to the pass.
On my way back I skied Skogan loop, High Level / Sunburst and after the screamer I went on Lower Skogan (I was amazed not to see any boot prints).
I went to check Ribbon creek conditions (hoping it would be groomed today) and back to the parking lot on Kovach.
The Skogan trails have been groomed yesterday so nice corduroy / tracks. As described by Carole yesterday, the trails have been "bombarded" by snow bombs resulting in bumpy tracks / corduroy and you really need to be careful when going down on some sections.
Sometimes also the tracks end with a some sort of deep pocket and it caught me off guard....

Total distance: 31.00 Km
