Sorry to have missed seeing you, Bob. By the timing of your Elk Pass photo, I was probably busy breaking the "Patterson Meadows" shortcut when you were up there. As you know, shortcuts always take longer than expected.

Discussion:
My daredevil days are over but I still enjoy going fast and the conditions were perfect for it at Elk Pass today. I had no fear coming down the big hills at full throttle.
The snow temperature at noon was -9 so blue wax gave good grip. Last night's tracksetting was deep, well-defined and fast.
I made a short side trip on Tyrwhitt to observe about 5 cm of fresh snow over the recent grooming.
Although it was freshly trackset and looked to be in great shape, I didn't take Fox Creek because the downhill on Elk Pass was too inviting.

That's Ryan with the big smile
