Actually JoLynn, the only challenge on this trail is distance. The good news is that there are so many delightful turn back destinations.
Starting in Banff, it is 6 km to the first bridge (east/west junction shelter), another 4 km to second Spray River bridge, and then only another 2 km to the iconic Goat Creek bridge.
And by the way, parking was not an issue, even today.

I would love to try that trail! Will have to be satisfied with just reading trip reports for a while-broken toe🫤 Do you think it would be appropriate for an intermediate level skier?

Almost went there today but once got stuck in that little parking lot, after a big snowfall. You can luckily ski to the trail head from your condo!

Discussion:

So much better today, with the cooler temperatures, and truly amazing once the Parks Tracksetters passed me!
Where is everyone... these are the best conditions of the year.
Interesting to chat with Ron and Larissa... on their advice I won't state the temperature, but will say that my Blue kick wax worked well.

Always a nice sight on arrival at the trailhead

Groomers just roller packed the new snow first

I must have been shaking with fright when Jacinthe and Rory told me that I'd have to break trail if I carried on towards Goat Creek!

THANK YOU Ali and Lauren for your dedication to excellence

Look at this Perfection
