It’s true, Chuck was the fastest today. However I have a feeling that Katie had several more gears in waiting! I haven’t seen Chuck all season, so it was a great reunion. My skins slipped a bit but Sue had no problem with her’s. The falling snow lifted everyone’s spirits.
And hello to my good friend Helen!

Jeff G and Sue G. Great to see you both out on MLR. I certainly ran into challenging conditions Wednesday there, doing Fairview in the powder and +1. I keep my scrapper (and bit of hard glide wax) right in my side pocket.

Discussion:

Even Katie Weaver (First Canadian in the Alberta World Cup on February 10) could not catch me!
We had such a fun day meeting so many friends.
The secret was not too much kick wax. We were using just a thin layer of VR50 while it snowed with temperatures just around zero.
The needles encountered near the trailhead were covered in beautiful white snow by our return.
Thanks also to Pat and Ken sharing the good times!

JeffG was giving Sue all sorts of hints to help her keep up her strong pace!

1st arrival to the Viewpoint!

Jeannette loans Katie Weaver a scraper to solve her issue

I took this picture of Katherine Weaver on February 10, when she was the 1st Canadian at the World Cup in Canmore!

Not much of a view at the Viewpoint today

We offered to lower the tracksetter for Benoit on his machine for the descent... but that didn't work!
