Yes, I find Reuben's artwork to be absolutely beautiful.
I've delved into his website for these special pieces painted while working at Skoki.

Great photo of the visitors from upstate New York who I met family day w/e skiing the Alluvial Fan (I was walking around the lake with my grandkids and took their photos at bench at end of lake) and my husband met then downloading at Temple before their ski in. Looks like you met then on their way out if they stayed 2 nights. Super photos and hope you find the artist's name. Wonder if you put that photo on google, if AI would come up with the artist?

Hey Ulrike,
You could definitely skate ski across Ptarmigan Lake (the west wind helps). Dropping down the north side of Deception Pass was a challenge due to tight bushes and a soft snowpack beside the snowmobile track. Metal edges were worthwhile.
The ski out was no problem.

You're covering lots of distance on your skis, Chuck! Looks like a beautiful day. Judging by the packed snow you could almost skate ski across Ptarmigan Lake. How was the descent from Deception Pass and the LL ski out? Hopefully no breakable crust and no ice.
