I like to get in a good distance and Canmore is on the way back anyway. This year I am trying hold my average in the low 30s.

Thanks for the report, gh. That's a heck of a ski. Skiing Pipestone in the day and then CNC at night.
Pipestone (entire network 26 km) plus night skiing at CNC

Conditions were pretty good out at Pipestone. The track setting is several days old now but it is holding up reasonably well. I skied the outer portion counter clockwise which is the way that most people go. There were no icy sections but the big hill on the west side has quite a few craters from various crashes. Skiing the other way might be better. Walker traffic near the parking lot has made the trail to the sides of the set track pretty bumpy so snow plowing would be challenging. As long as one can stay in the track it should be fine.
It was a pleasant evening to be out on the night skiing trails at CNC.
Total distance: 34.00 Km
