Howdy 13th Troll,

Thanks for that South Glenmore Park report. I will have to do some night skiing out there soon and see if I can find some Trolls in the night skiing.

A few years ago I was walking the dog further west of the trackset in winter when I saw the biggest cougar in my life at night. The cat was longer than the width of the bike path. It had to be 225 lbs. It was 100 meters in front of me. I don't think it saw me but who knows? I quickly scooted up to the cougar tracks and the 30 lb schnauzer immediately started tracking the cougar into the bush. I stopped it after about 25 meters for safety purposes. That dog hated cats!

Short on Time?-Ski in the City.
North Glenmore Park has been rolled and somewhat track-set.
Snow conditions are reasonably good on the set trails.
Not that we ever keep to the set trails...
Counted a dozen other skiers making good use of Glenmore park.
Sunny and crisp - SWIX blue provided perfect consistent grip.
Always lots of interesting things to check out in the park: wildlife at the settling ponds, kids at the playgrounds & skating rinks, the sweeping views from the escarpment and a quick foosball match.

Total distance: 4.00 Km

Track-set trails by tennis courts.

Multi-use trail sign.

Warming hut by skating rinks.

Foosball Table

Fine skiing only 1 hour door to door
