I skied PLPP yesterday (Friday Nov 18th), starting from Back Door, then Tyrwhitt and Elk Pass. Grooming is underway. I encountered both rollerpacked and trackset sections. Tyrwhitt beyond the Lookout turnoff is still snowmobile packed with new snow on top. I met the grooming crew between Elk Pass and Blueberry Junction. I broke trail into west Elk Pass from near Blueberry Junction. Off-trail travel is heavy going with only the basal refrozen snow providing support. I only went as far as the first meadow. Nice and sunny lunch spot. A chilly -17C to start and -13C at the end. I returned the same way.

As a point of clarification, I’m not certain what the grooming schedule is for this area.

It was a snowy day today at PLPP - just what we need.
I arrived late in the morning to an empty backdoor parking lot. The temperature was -7. A few cm of snow had already fallen which continued throughout most of the day. The remains of previous grooming were evident under a few cm of fresh, fluffy snow.
I rode Pocaterra down to Packers & then ground my way back up, past the Whiskey Jack junction & on towards Lookout. No signs of rocks or dirt anywhere. My blue wax worked just great today - no slippage at all.
Didn't see a sole all day.
Hopefully, this is the start of some good conditions at PLPP.
 The snow pack up top is quite good
 Lots of wildlife on Highway 40. Please drive with caution.
