The vehicle traffic was horrendous... but no wonder, the weather was marvelous.
Always great to check out lesser known areas, like Peyto and the Upper Telemark, and get first tracks on fresh tracksetting!
The smell of fresh baking behind the hotel was tantalizing, and the chats with other skiers later in the day was warming.
Get there early.
Starting by the Ice Castle on the Lake as the sun peaked through
Headed up behind the Chateau on fresh tracksetting
Wandered over Peyto, looking for previous art work
Lower Telemark is also a great escape
Mark, Tanya & Noah are also doing a little exploring
