That's the original moose in BNP. He walked all the way from Quebec.

Hi Chuck,
Thanks for the report, regarding how we say « moose » in french, « orignal » is mainly used in North America , whereas in Europe people will use the term «élan ».
Bonne journée!

Discussion:
While the Lake Louise to Somewhere Loppet ends this year at Castle Junction, that was not the intention. It was intended to go to Johnston Canyon, but the organizers had sled problems, however the track is there to enjoy!
Would be a waste not to make use of this spectacular section.
Thanks volunteers for all your efforts, they are not wasted.
We used VR45 which worked nicely under clear blue skies at about minus 5 degrees.
Grooming continues, just not trackset!
Now you know the French for Moose
The Moose kindly only crossed the tracks
Great views of Pilot heading East
Arriving at Johnston Canyon parking area
Magnificent views of Castle Mountain on the return West
