Discussion:

We had time this afternoon for a quick sunset loop after dropping off our granddaughter at jackrabbits. The core trails that we skied: West Crystal-Loggers-Sundog-East Crystal, were fast and fun. Coverage remains great with firm grooming and well defined tracks that are often glazed, sometimes icy. Downhills were still soft enough to be easily controllable. For wax-VR 50 worked very well but did pick up a few of the needles that are scattered here and there. Back at the trailhead, we met groomer Dave heading out at dusk to renovate some trails. Bottom line is: despite the transition to more spring like conditions in spots, the skiing at WBC is still very worthwhile.
