It was warm to start (5 degrees at the parking lot). I skied up Skogan trail / Sunburst / High Level / Skogan loop and pass. On the way down I took Ruthies near the bottom and then Hay Meadow back to the parking lot. Everything was freshly groomed and track set (not Hay Meadow as there is not enough snow on it to set a track).

It was a bit sticky especially in the sunny areas on my way up but with the fresh grooming I was not clumping up too much and it was easy to kick it off when I needed to. In the afternoon it gradually got cloudier dropping the temperature to just below zero which fixed the sticking problems and made for a pleasant descent from the pass. Snow conditions above the "screamer" hill are excellent. The "screamer" hill was pretty good too but there is noticeably less snow there so the weekend traffic might scrape that pretty clean. Tomorrow should be fine. Below the "screamer" there is even less snow. I skied down on Ruthies which was okay but a couple of more skiers going down that one will make it much harder. Conditions on Hay Meadow are pretty marginal and there have been lots of people walking there.

All down hill sections above the "screamer" where relatively easy to descend under control (Jamie and Carole would have been proud of me...).
