Discussion:

EC and I went up the Yoho Valley Road on Tuesday, stopping above the switchbacks. Skier-tracked, but with only 2 previous skiers, all the way. Gorgeous sunshine and -14 C, with a stiff headwind to start, but once we got into the trees, it was perfect. I used some "new" touring skis (thanks to Tim Sand) and they worked well until I got onto steeper, sugary stuff and then I was wishing I'd brought the half-skins. Oh, well.
