It was snowing when we arrived at the Great Divide trailhead at about 10:30 am. Temp was about -3 and rose to +1 by the time we returned at 1 pm. We skied Telemark on the way out on tracks that were covered in a few cm of snow. Skiing was slow but not sticking too bad until we turned back on Great Divide. Then we lost our glide and problems with sticking. We envied the skiers on skin tec who were not having the same problems.
The parking lot is not plowed and snow is soft in places making it easy to get stuck. Thank you to the 2 women who pushed us out when we were trying leave. Moraine pkg lot also needs plowing!

You wrote such a good report on Pipestone, many enjoyed it today and even arrived to a cleared parking lot. But the road up that little hill from the HWY was pretty mushy. Exercise caution everyone driving tomorrow if these mild temps freeze before the big cool down.
We had one on Madshus skins, me on Rossignol fish scales, and one on wax. Success went in same respective order.
