Discussion:

We likewise skied the south end on Sunday, starting from the Elk Pass parking lot. We skied up the big hill, and noted it was looking icy. Along Elk Pass, the tracks were relatively good. Down Hydroline, it was a delight, except at the curvy steep hill at the bottom, which also was icy.

We elected to take Fox Creek on the way back, to avoid much of that big icy hill on Elk Pass. Fox Creek was single-track-set, and there were pine needles, minor debris, and snow lumps in the middle of the tracks. In places, the tracks were "washed out" by use - BUT it wasn't icy. I've certainly seen it in much worse shape before.

Overall, not bad conditions and a fine day out.
