Discussion:

We skied out of a busy Pocaterra parking lot at 11am today (Saturday, Jan 15th) onto Rolly Road, and Come Along and then onto Pocaterrra. The snow and trail conditions were quite reasonable and got progressively better as we ascended. We turned off onto Packers which had some really nice snow at the top, although not recently groomed it seems, and the short but distinctly black descent section near the top was OK - not icy. We turned for home at the bottom of Packers and took Wheeler, Amos, Wooley, and Meadow. These were often in much less optimum shape, particularly in the trees, with some debris, and were much more skied out. Gripper decided to ski down Suicide Hill on Lodgepole at the end, so I felt compelled to also make an attempt and in fact the snow was good enough to compensate for my wonky descending. Thanks, as always to Snooki and Gripper for another great day skiing! Hedgemumper.
