Discussion:

Surprised today ! Temp -20 @ Casino , then -5C @ Bolton . Deserted highway drive past Nakiska @ 11:30 am today. Not a creature was stirring, not even a chickadee.
Did the SkierBob special for ‘22 New Year ski. Started @ Bolton up Whiskey Jack breaking trail all the way in fresh powder. By the time we reached Trywhitt, 15cm deep fluffy snow and no wind. 😳 Took off outer layer jackets and continued breaking trail to Elk Pass. Still warm temp and cruised down Elk to Fox and Morraine in over ankle skier tracked trails. Fox Creek & Morraine blissful in soft fluffy snow . Gators and light touring skis would have been better.

Trywhitt meadow, breaking trail @2:00 pm. That’s really fluffy powdery and mild temp !

Trywhitt or maybe Top of Whiskey Jack. So much SNOW !

I always bring gaiters now - in 4 trrips to PLPP this season I haven't seen an inch of set track. 4 trips to Banff have all had excellent grooming, but that's another $145.
