I skied up the Cascade Valley today in Banff National Park. The drive in was windy but it soon abated as I arrived. It was a pleasant day with a temperature of about -11 degrees. Plenty of snow in the trees which made it look like Christmas! The trail conditions were excellent.
At the bridge (6 Km), I happened to meet Mary and Marjia (apologies for the spelling). Mary told me she was 87. What a lovely pair; just full of energy! Many years of skiing to go ladies…
The ski out was easy - just sit back and allow gravity to do the work.

Seems like the Cascade Valley was a wise choice given that tracksetting also occurred today, all the way to Stoney Creek!
