Discussion:

South Glenmore Park is not trackset or groomed yet. It is well skier tracked with fairly good to very good snow conditions. No rocks. There is roughly an average of 7 cm of snow on the ground, deeper in some areas and shallower in other areas. Expect to hit some weeds- the bad kind- but they won't damage your skis. Moderate to moderate fast skiing.

It was way too warm for my liking under the bright hot sun in the early afternoon but it was nice silky skiing. No crusty snow on top of a weak crusty base.

I broke my own trail in order to compact the base better. There is plenty of room to do that and it will make for a better snowmobile base when the city decides to groom the snow- which is now over due. I just hope they do not try tracksetting the trail until it gets groomed and receives another 5 cm of new snow on top.

There will be nice moonlight skiing tonight on any open trails. Give it a try and experience the sensations of moon light skiing close to home.
