Trail Update for Upper Lake Louise

Grooming update from the Upper Lake Louise team:

Fairview Loop (#2): Double trackset, Dec. 15. Good Condition.

Shoreline (#4): Double trackset, Dec. 15. Good Condition.

Lake Trail (#4): Sled packed the ski and walking trail, Dec. 15. There were a lot of slush sections throughout the lake. The ice thickness is safe for travel and the slush should freeze overnight. We hope to work on this tomorrow (Dec. 16) and make the best of what we have to work with. We recommend that you stay on what is thoroughly packed or you might get wet feet.

Upper Telemark and Peyto Trails (#5&#7): Double trackset, Dec. 15. Good Condition.

Note:
Anytime there is new snow, the weight of that snow forces the ice down enough for water to pool on top of it. It will not freeze until it is exposed to cold air so this will always be an ongoing issue and something to keep in mind anytime you cross a lake.
