On April 1, 2024 we skied up Mount Gordon from Bow Lake on a beautiful sunny day. There were many crevasses visible at the base of the Olive – St. Nicholas col, as well as on the route to Mount Collie, but only a few on the standard routes up both Gordon and Rhondda. The snow for the ski down was a bit wind-crusted but still lots of fun. We started out from The Lodge at Bow Lake (formerly know as Num-Ti-Jah Lodge) at 9:15 am and were back at the Lodge at 4:45 pm.
Total time 7.5 hours, Total Distance 23.6 km, Total Elevation Gain 1260 m.

Mount Balfour from the summit of Mount Gordon. In the bottom left hand corner of the Diableret Glacier we could see a party of about twelve skiers just beginning their ascent of the Diableret Glacier.

Looking north towards Mount Collie and Mont des Poilus from the summit of Mount Gordon.

Looking back towards Saint Nicholas Peak and the route from Bow Hut from the summit of Mount Gordon.
