Discussion:

Feeling kind of creative after a great ski season ( even if the weather and conditions were not always ideal) so here is my “ poetic report”

Twas a wonderful ski season even if conditions were not always ideal
There are so many places to ski near Calgary with great appeal

Sometimes there were rocks, ice, dirt, and snowy crust
But you could still enjoy it if you are not too fussed

WBC skiing and grooming was slow to start
But skiing there with Dobby the Husky was a lark

Cascade Fire Road we enjoyed many times
Heading all the way to Stoney Creek was sublime

Lake Louise is always beautiful with a variety of trails
One of my favorites is Lower Telemark through the trees and dales

Skiing the Lake Louise to almost Banff Loppett was a blast
I enjoyed the scenery and did my best to go fast

Skiing at the CNC you say hi to so many folks that you know
The mine meadows are spectacular and always put on a show

PLPP trails are some of my favorite places to ski
Pocaterra, Elk Pass, Tyrwitt, Blueberry ,Fox Creek yippee

We recently skied up Red Earth to Shadow Lake and return
In springs like conditions it was magnificent at every turn

At Confederation Park I can’t say enough about the volunteers and grooming
They even snow farm and the number of happy skiers is always booming

If you enjoy skiing you can ward off the winter blues
Thanks Skier Roger for your blog and all that you do

So there you have it in some semblance of rhyme
Any day you can venture out skiing is sublime

Thanks for that very creative poem, Jperry. It captured some of the best parts of the winter season!

Hope to hear more from you…
