PLPP with better than expected conditions (no clumping and good glide)
We parked at Boulton Creek Campground and skied Moraine, Fox Creek, Hydroline, Elk Pass, Blueberry Hill, Elk Pass, Boulton Creek and a loop around Amos and Wheeler.
Moraine was icy / hard packed in the morning (9:30am) and Fox was surprisingly good with softer snow. There was a skiff of snow on the recent grooming of Hydroline and Elk Pass and we had good grip without clumping. Blueberry was the only trail were we had a bit of clumping going up.
Boulton Creek was not as bad as anticipated and the tracks were quite soft on Amos but with good glide. The return on Wheeler was a mixed bag, as some portions are as good as Amos, some super icy and we had to remove our skis on one occasion as there is no snow for a few meters. In that respect I would avoid Wheeler.
The parking was quite busy when we returned!
