So winter is back, again!
West Bragg Creek didn't get great amount of snow but certainly enough to fill in the old, icy tracks. Enough to make things silky smooth & allow good traction on the uphills. But most of all, enough to make for a very pleasant day!
I started from the Fullerton Parking lot, off highway 66, near the Allen Bill day use area and travelled along Iron Springs and Elbow trails. Only 1 car and 1 school bus in sight. So nice to see some students from Black Diamond High School out for ski lesson. Who knows, we might even receive a trip report from them...
I was lucky enough to enjoy untouched snow through for most of my trip. A couple of skiers eventually past me going the other direction which then allowed me to sail along through their tracks. Either way, I just couldn't lose today!
What a pleasure it was to visit with Morica, Gail and Rita as they enjoyed their lunch at the Iron Springs - Elbow Connector picnic table.
As I returned to Fullerton, I had the great pleasure of visiting with Pat who is a retired History professor from U of C. I just finished reading a book on Russia and he was kind enough to fill some historical gaps for me. Wise man that Pat!
A few rocks to watch for: particularity nearest to the Fullerton parking lot. WBC can do with more snow, which is on the way.
Light and fluffy snow
Looking back on my tracks.
Just a lovely view point!
New tracks just set from a passing skier

I was surprised to hear from Morica, who lives in Revelstoke, that their winter was not great this year. Lots of rain at the lower elevations. Of course the snow-line continues to rise as spring approaches.
Elbow
Returning back in some nice skier set tracks. Still snowing.
