Discussion:

What a beautiful morning on fresh PLPP grooming! I started at Elk Pass parking lot at 10:15 and -18°, although it didn’t feel that cold (maybe because warming up happens quickly climbing that Elk Pass hill!). The Hydroline – Lookout – Tyrwhitt – Hydroline loop was lovely today, and all the fresh snow made for easy(ish) climbs and descents. There were a whole bunch of hoof tracks going down from the top of Lookout to Tyrwhitt… A small herd of elk this morning? I met Vanessa along the way, and we took turns clearing the 1 to 2 cm of snow in the fresh tracks as we each made our way around the loop. It was somewhere around -12° at 1:15 when I got back to the car.
