Discussion:

I had a few chores to do for Jolynn this morning due to her busted toe so I arrived at Pocaterra parking lot late around 1:00 pm. No wind and a reasonable temperature of -12 degrees.

The trail was beautifully trackset all the way to the Packers junction. The recent snowfall told me it might be a chore to break trail to Whiskey Jack today, but I was game to try. Ended up turning around some 600 m short to avoid the dark. I measured 19 cm of fresh snow at Packers.

I met 6 others who collectively agreed the trails were a bit slow: no surprise, given the fresh snow and relatively cool temp.

Really nice chatting with Joan and Jim from Canmore near the Lynx junction. All smiles today. It's funny how everyone from Canmore seems to know Helen Read!

It was also a great pleasure meeting David and 10 year old Aefa at the Packers-Pocaterra picnic table. David and I said we were very proud of Aefa for her accomplishments. Almost no complaining either, I'm told...

Aefa and David celebrating a tremendous accomplishment!
