Road closure (Canmore hill) tomorrow

Discussion:

The Canmore hill above the Nordic centre will be closed Wednesday at 1PM for avalanche control. And more snow expected as another storm starts, again with high winds, so perhaps another closure towards the weekend. Bulletins suggest a natural avalanche cycle should be starting with all the new snow load, with potential for slides to hit valley bottom.

I heard rumbles off Mt. Rundle and helicopter noise while skiing on the Rundle Trail at CNC around 5pm today. Great classic tracks and powder snow.
The storm has brought a major avalanche cycle. Hazard is rated high in Alpine/treeline.
A MIN report from Parkers Ridge from Monday showed a huge slab release:
